Philosophy: We believe that the quality of life for a person with Alzheimer’s disease is enriched when we honor the uniqueness of each resident by building on their strengths and understanding the essence of who they are as a person.
Program Overview: The program is based on a social model, with family style dining, and activities provided by both recreation staff and C.N.A.s, resulting in more activities, more engagement and a heightened cognition level in a failure-free environment. We utilize innovative approaches including music and movement to help residents recover memory and cognition.
Leadership: The Royal Innovation: Alzheimer’s Care program is directed by Maureen Bradley LPN CDP, one of the Commonwealth’s most respected memory care experts. Maureen brings 40 years of long term care experience to her position, along with a commitment to providing the best quality of life possible for our residents.
Training: All licensed staff members are personally trained by Maureen Bradley to be Dementia Practitioners, with CNA’s undergoing in-depth dementia training and given detailed background on residents prior to admission.
Short-Term Rehab: Does a loved one with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or a related dementia need short-term rehabilitation? If so, we can help. Monthly Support Groups
Maureen hosts monthly support groups for families and friends coping with a loved one’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. These meetings are open to the public and offer the opportunity to take a virtual dementia tour to help you better understand what your loved ones are experiencing.
